President, Senior (3rd year member)
Trying out for Dance Co was one of the best decisions Kate has ever made. After the first week of meeting the girls on the team, she knew she found life long best friends that she could always count on. This program has given her so many opportunities and memories she will never forget. It is a fun way for her to stay involved at Bingham as well as do what she loves most, dance. She has had the amazing opportunity to choreograph for Sojo Dance Company, a piece for BHDC with Abby McBride as a sophomore, and this year a piece by herself . Kate started dancing when she was 7 at Definitely Dance, but most of her training came from UDA. She danced there for over 6 years and has been on their conservatory program for 3 years. She is trained in contemporary, jazz, ballet, tumbling, hip hop, pointe, and acro. Kate would like to thank my parents for paying for all of the countless classes and competitions, and her teachers for educating her and making her the person she is today. Kate also would like to thank her awesome friends for coming to performances to support and cheer her on. She is so beyond blessed to be apart of dance company, which has turned into her second family. |
