Gina Terrell has been dancing since she was 3 years old and has loved every minute of it. She has been professionally trained In Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Cheer/Song Leading, and Tumbling/Acro. This will be Gina's seventh year at Bingham High School teaching; Dance Company, Performance Ballroom Team, Dance 1, 2, and 3, Hip-Hop, and Social Ballroom Dance 1 & 2. She also taught Dance at Albion Middle School for 2 years and coached Cheer and Songleading at Hillcrest High for 4 years. Gina graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelor of fine arts in Modern Dance expanding her skills in Modern, Ballet, Pilates, Folk Dance, African, Music and Choreography, Improvisational Dance, Dance Kinesiology, and Teaching Methods. Gina was also a member of the University of Utah’s dance team Crimson Line performing at many major events including the Fiesta Bowl, NCAA Basketball Tournament, University of Utah Football and Basketball games as well as the Utah Jazz. Gina has been professionally choreographing since 2004 for many High School Dance Companies, Drill Teams, Cheer/Song Squads, and within the University of Utah for her dance degree. Most recently Gina has been asked to choreograph for BRINE, a professional dance artists show down town at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center October 2017. She started choreographing at a young age along with many dances in middle school and High School concerts including Dance Company, Musicals, and Cheer/Songleading. Gina started professionally performing in the year 2004 and most recently will be apart of the BRINE for her third season. She started performing at the early age of 3. She graduated from Hillcrest High School and was a dedicated member of both Dance Company and Cheer/Songleading all 3 years. Her senior year she was appointed Varsity Song Captain and Dance Company President. Gina’s dream has always been to teach dance in a high school and have her own Dance Company. She has loved being apart of the Bingham High Schools faculty and LOVES teaching at such an amazing school.
Dani Skaggs has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Her background includes choreographing, training, performing and teaching ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, ballroom, pointe and hip hop. This year marks her first year as Dance Teacher at South Jordan Middle School, where she teaches Dance Company, Dance 1 and Social Ballroom. When she is not teaching middle school, Dani works as Assistant Coach to Bingham High School’s Dance Company and Ballroom Team. Dani grew up in Riverton, WY. Most of her life has been dedicated to all aspects of dance, which included, attending and teaching at Main Street Dance along owner/instructor Regan Marynowski. After graduating from Riverton High School, she attended the University of Utah where she graduated in 2016 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance. During Dani’s senior year of college, she had the opportunity to student teach for Gina Terrell’s Dance Company and Dance 3 class. The following year she was a long-term sub for Gina while she was on maternity leave. When a job came open at the South Jordan Middle school, Dani knew it was the perfect job for her, allowing her to teach in the classroom and continue to work with Bingham High dancers as assistant coach. Dani has had the opportunity to be featured as guest performer/choreographer for 3 years in Wyoming’s Main Street Dance Concerts. She has also had the privilege to dance in the professional showcase: BRINE at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in downtown Salt Lake City. During high school Dani spent numerous years teaching dance for Central Wyoming College camps, Gear-UP and Riverton Summer Academy. Besides teaching, she has attended Bill T Jones Company Workshop, Snowy Range Dance Intensive and Dance Studio Life Teacher’s Workshop. Her choreography works include: “Holocene”, “Tennis Court”, “Fire Escape”, and “Who you want me to be” collaborated with choreographer/dancer Tori Stanek. Dani has recently choreographed numerous dances for her Middle Schools Concerts and Bingham High School’s various Showcases. Dani has enjoyed working in the educational environment with students of all levels. The love and passion of each and every dancer has been her inspiration. It is a pleasure for her to work with so many brilliantly, artistic and talented dancers.
